Teachers, designers, practitioners, collaborators.

As a group, we are the most experienced and dynamic team of educators of permaculture and regenerative design in the Front Range. We come from diverse backgrounds and have unique skill sets that cover a wide range of learning modalities, from mentorship and engaging lectures to hands-on practice and radical student-led group work.

While over a decade of annual courses gives us a strong and dependable structure, we always strive to reinvent and improve our classes along with the evolving landscape of the city and its people.

Ainslie O’Neil - In Memoriam

Ainslie O’Neil was a teacher, organizer, landscape architect, movement builder, and joy-maker. She was an integral part of the Denver Permaculture Design Course and the larger Denver permaculture movmenet between 2012 and 2022. Although she left our teaching team and our larger community and family after her death in December of 2022, her spirit and her teachings remain a core inspiration and guide to all of us.

Ainslie was born and raised on the Front Range, firmly rooted in the ecology of the Rocky Mountain West. Her background in the arts, design education, and wilderness exploration propelled her into the study and practice of ecological design as a young adult; she then taught at various Permaculture Design Courses around the western hemisphere and deepened her understanding of the natural world and urban outdoor environments in her work as a professional landscape architect.

Ainslie was a believer in the healing power of design. From the ways that we build movements and organize community to the physical spaces we inhabit, she hoped to empower us all to create the realities that will serve us best. For her, that looked like moving her body, exploring wild spaces, playing, drawing, speaking from the heart, listening deeply, teaching some folks, and learning from even more. Through her organizing and advocacy work, she was always angling towards the foundational goal of enabling others to feel seen, heard, and comfortable in their Selves.
